General conditions for installing a floor on an ELASTILON® base
The space for installation needs to be completely empty and clean. The relative humidity needs to be between 40% and 65%. Temperature should be at least 16°C. The moisture content of the base floor should not exceed 3,9%.
A cement or concrete base needs to be level with a maximum defect of 2% measured under a 'row' of 1,5 metre (59”). A wood base floor needs to be sufficiently level and stable.
The expansion gaps at walls etc. depends on the total width of the floor, the characteristics of the hardwood and its moisture content, the system and the maximum relative humidity to be expected in the room.
